SLRPHRI, an Institute of social repute working under the preview of PARD Patna for Social work which is the nerve center of community. Community survey is done for identification of challenged and out of school children, for mainstreaming them in formal education. The institute guides the parents for obtaining various relevant certificates from governmental authorities. It enables the Persons with Disabilities to get social benefits like disability and railway concession certificates, pension, scholarship etc so that they can avail various government schemes. Institute organizes medical camps, dental camps, anemia detection camps, eye checkups etc. periodically to cater to the needs of all.


the other organisations is also providing very good Rehabilitation Services and extending technical support to the organizations working in the field of disability rehabilitation. The Networking with various institutions, hospitals, placement agencies etc to create a common platform to work is a key function of the institute. This enables the rendering of appropriate services. It also participates in awareness programmes like AIDS/HIV/Cancer, seminars/workshops for upgrading the knowledge of community people organized by appropriate authorities.


the institute has extended their infrastructure and appropriate support to hold so many medical camps, dental camps, anemia detection camps, eye checkups Disability Rehabilitation etc. periodically to cater to the needs of all.


In order to meet the aims & objective, S L Roy Public Health & Research Institute (SLRPHRI) and bridge the gap of trained human resource in the field of Disability Rehabilitation, it has been decided to start the long term rehabilitation courses from the academic year 2015-2016. These courses will be fully sponsored by PARD Patna and are very useful to provide services for persons with Disabilities, especially children with disability as well as for elderly in view of increasing demand of such trained manpower in the state. Further, it is stated that there is huge shortage of manpower in the above said field.
